Because:
a) I haven’t tumbled in a while,
b) I think it’s relatively interesting, and
c) it still puzzles me.
This is a bird I met on Thetis Island (a small island between Vancouver Island and the mainland - where I went to Bible school). It’s the weirdest bird I’ve ever seen…obviously a hybrid of some sort. Any idea what it is?
Viewbook covershoot…
“okay, let’s cheer. no, everyone just yell. Think enthusiasm.”
I am so darn excited to see this viewbook. Ridiculous.
I realized that this probably isn’t a reliable source after reading other headlines on this page (“Megan Fox is a Man!” “Egyptian Pharoah Flew on UFO,” “Palin Bags a Bigfoot,” etc.), but it doesn’t take away from the hilarity of the (circus) funeral described in the article.
Goodness.
(This is me revealing how much of a nerd I really am.)
So we had a robin family make a nice little eye-level nest in our backyard mulberry tree; Mom and I have been watching them for the past couple of weeks. Yesterday was Fly Day - we got to see all three of them take off (sooo cool). We also learned that our neighbour has been watching the nest with binoculars through her windows (not so cool).
I was completely unaware of what was going on outside as I made my last post. It was pretty deflating (to put it lightly) when I looked out my window to find myself in a flipping blizzard. In April-going-on-May.
ALKDFLSKHDF!!
The weather man was serious. (And he better hide tonight.)
Dear Mukluks,
Well, it’s been a great winter, and we’ve certainly had great times. You warmed my tootsies on bitter winter nights. You set my feet to dancing, even after impossibly long and tiring days at work. You were a surrogate pet, with your satiny rabbit fur and tail-like tassels. And though you are soon to be retired to the closet, know that next winter our love affair will resume.
Love,
Deanna
