That was the gist of my day. Darn right, it’s exciting.
Also, last Thursday I dropped a bottle of soya sauce in Wal-Mart - I was waiting in line for the self-checkout and it slipped out of my armload of groceries, sneaky little guy. If you want to make a scene, it’s definitely the way to go - you’ve got the sound of smashing glass and the ensuing mess…A big dramatic announcement came over the P.A., the supervisor was really loud about it, I was sweating a lot. Yeah, overall a great experience.
The best part is that I did the EXACT SAME THING today. I had made it to the self-checkout this time, and I had put my bag of groceries on the shelf thing, ready to ring ‘em in, and lo and behold, the bag dropped and my new bottle of soya sauce smashed on the ground and the scene from last week was re-enacted, only with small changes to the minor players. Also I was less apologetic today - it was old hat for me.
Now tell me how that same thing happens to the same person with the same product within a week! I’d say it’s pretty special. Miraculous, even. I guess I’m lucky like that.
