My family still makes fun of me for this one time when I was in Grade 2 when I wanted to wear my favourite track pants to school, but found a hole in the crotch - luckily, before I left home. So I did the logical thing - got out the craft glue, did some “mending,” then stuck ‘em back in the drawer and saved them for another day. The story is immortalized as “the time Deanna glued her pants.” (I don’t think it’s that funny.)
Well, today, just as I was heading out the door, I noticed the hem of my skirt was noticeably coming undone. Didn’t have time to change, nor did I have time to sew…I did have some glue on hand, however, and was forced to revert to my 7-year-old ways. I know I’m almost 21, but sometimes practicality has to supercede convention. (Don’t hate on resourcefulness, people.)
